  • Basic spices (like turmeric, cumin, and coriander powder)
  • Biryani masala
  • Curd (yogurt)
  • Rice
  • Onion or cumin seeds
  • Paneer (optional)
  • Oil
  • Mint and coriander leaves (for garnish)
  • Fried onion (for garnish)

How to make Veg Biryani:

  • Start by chopping your favorite vegetables (like carrots, mushrooms, beans, and cabbage). Ensure you are using fresh and clean vegetables.
  • In a large bowl, marinate the chopped vegetables with ginger, garlic, chilli paste, basic spices (like turmeric, cumin, and coriander powder), biryani masala, and curd (yogurt).
  • Boil the rice with spices until it's about 90% cooked.
  • Take a pan, and add onion or cumin seeds in some oil till they get nicely browned.
  • Add the marinated vegetables to the pan and cook them thoroughly. You can also add fried paneer in it.
  • Once the vegetables are ready, spread a layer of the cooked rice over the vegetable mixture.
  • Garnish the top layer of rice with fresh mint leaves, chopped coriander, and fried onions.
  • Cover the pan and let the biryani cook on a low flame for 10 minutes.
  • Your special veg biryani is now ready to be served. This dish is perfect for a family meal or a special occasion.
