Palak Poha Tikki Recipe

Ingredients for Palak Poha Tikki:

  • 1/4 cup Poha (Flattened Rice)
  • 1 medium mashed Potato
  • Finely chopped Spinach (Palak)
  • Grated Carrot and chopped Onion
  • 1 finely chopped small Ginger Knob
  • Finely chopped Green Chillies (as per taste)
  • 1 spoon White Sesame Seeds (Safed Til)
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Kitchen King Masala (as per taste)
  • Oil (for frying)
  • Tomato Sauce, Sev & Pomegranate Seeds (for garnish)

Method to Prepare Palak Poha Tikki:

  • Start by taking 1/4 cup of Poha in a bowl. Wash the poha with water, drain it, and keep it aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 medium mashed potato, soaked poha, finely chopped spinach, grated carrot, chopped onion, chopped ginger, green chillies, white sesame seeds, salt, lemon juice, turmeric powder, and Kitchen King Masala.
  • Combine all the ingredients well with your hands. If needed for binding, you can add a little more poha or bread crumbs.
  • Shape the mixture into small tikkis.
  • Heat oil in a pan and place the tikkis in it. Brush some oil on the tikkis and sprinkle white sesame seeds.
  • Cook on medium heat until they turn golden brown from both sides.
  • Serve the tikkis on a plate and garnish with tomato sauce, sev, and pomegranate seeds.
