For making the soup, take three drumsticks. Peel and chop them into small pieces. Take half a cup of soaked yellow moong dal and add it to a pressure cooker for two hours. Add a few cloves of garlic, one chopped onion, three chopped tomatoes, and chopped drumsticks. Add salt and a cup of water. Cook on a medium flame for three whistles.

Reduce the pressure and open the lid. Blend the mixture with the help of a hand blender. This is necessary as the drumsticks become fibrous on boiling. Strain the soup properly. Melt two teaspoons of butter in another pan, add one teaspoon of jeera, and a pinch of ground black pepper. Once it crackles, add the strained soup. Boil it and turn off the flame. Add chili flakes and a splash of lime juice last.
