Check out the edited excerpts from this interview;

What is your go-to exercise for a quick energy boost?

I love dancing and that's something I can do for a quick energy boost.

How do you stay motivated to work out regularly?

I have always been workout-conscious, I've always prioritized fitness since a young teen so it hasn't been that difficult to stay motivated, however, yes I do have low days when I don't feel like working out but on those days I'll either watch some motivating gym videos or remind myself of the feeling I feel after a good workout.

What is your favorite healthy snack or meal?

A good protein bar with high proteins and less sugar as a snack or a handful of dry fruit for that extra rush of energy just before a workout.

What is the most challenging fitness goal you've achieved so far?

I think because I've been so weight and fitness-conscious since my teens I somewhere had deviated and got carried away and ended up overworking out and undereating, so personally for me the most challenging fitness goal has been to find the right balance between working out and eating healthy and not letting the weight on the scale define me!

What is your favorite form of cardio exercise?

Ah! Tough question because I have a love-hate relationship with Cardio, I guess most of us do! But I like to change it up. In phases, I love my running and jogging and then when that gets boring I move to swimming or a sport that helps me sweat it out. So the secret about cardio is to find something interesting to you, it doesn't only have to be walking on a treadmill.

Do you prefer working out alone or with a partner?

I like to have someone with me like a partner because I feel you end up pushing yourself more when you have people around you!

What is your top tip for fitting exercise into a busy schedule?

It doesn't have to be the gym; exercise is anything where you are active! As long as you are moving your body for 30/45 minutes a day apart from your daily activity that's enough! Turn on YouTube play that Bollywood playlist and dance it out.

How do you overcome workout plateaus and keep making progress?

Honestly like I said before keep changing it up, if you look at working out as a chore or as a weight loss goal, you'll never end up making it a long-term routine, if you look at fitness as a lifestyle and not as a fad it's easier to overcome plateaus and make progress because I know my goal is bigger and I'm less likely to get demotivated! I would also like to add that adequate rest is very important, if you don't give adequate rest to your body your muscles will not have enough time to recover and that will stunt muscle growth, listening to your body is very important.

What is your favorite way to recover and relax after a tough workout?

I good meal and a hot/cold shower depending on the weather.

What is your favorite fitness Instagram account to follow?

I'm a huge fan of this Brazilian Victoria's Secret model called Izabel Goulart, I love what she does for her body and how she promotes fitness!

What is your favorite way to celebrate a fitness accomplishment?

I think it would be by rewarding myself with a new pair of sneakers or gym wear!

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance while prioritizing fitness?

I think “Fitness” plays a very important role in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, most of us live very unhealthy lives missing meals, eating snacks to substitute meals, and sitting at desks for hours. I think when you include fitness in your daily regime you automatically end up eating better, sleeping better, and are more focused at work and otherwise. So it always goes hand in hand with me.

What is your biggest fitness goal for the future?

I think just to be Healthy in general and if you're asking about a more specific goal then I would say to be able to be fitter than I am today.

What is your advice for someone who is just starting on their fitness journey?

Don't listen to people, listen to your body! Fitness is not a destination, it's a journey. Have short-term goals but make it a permanent part of your lifestyle. You don't have to go to the gym, go for a walk, swim, a dance class anything that interests you! Also, please don't believe everything you see on the Internet, stay focused on you and your body!
