Sambhavna Seth Blames Medical Negligence for Her IVF Miscarriage

YouTuber and actor Sambhavna Seth once suffered a miscarriage. She and her husband, Avinash Dwivedi, endured the tragic loss in 2024 after multiple attempts at IVF. In a recent podcast, Sambhavna opened up about the emotional toll of losing her child and accused her doctor of negligence. She claimed that, despite experiencing days of bleeding, her doctor repeatedly assured her that everything was fine.

Sambhavna Seth Opens Up About Her IVF Journey:

In a conversation with Gauahar Khan on her podcast, Sambhavna Seth said, “The miscarriage that just happened changed my life." She noted that when her father died, it took her years to cope, and she was on anxiety and depression medicines for a long time. It caused a lot of weight gain too. The actress shared that after her father's death, she underwent multiple IVF attempts, but they kept failing.

Sambhavna said, “Now I don't even remember how many IVF attempts I went through. Six or seven? And they kept failing, kept failing. Just imagine how much hope you carry each time. And in every cycle, people who are watching think, " What's the big deal? Got an injection, IVF done, over. But what happens here (in the mind) and what happens here (in the heart) only we know."

But after many attempts, Sambhavna conceived but suffered a miscarriage three months later. She recalled, “I already had quite a few scans — two-three — because in between there was quite a bit of bleeding. But whenever the scans were done, everything came out very good. Tragically, Sambhavna lost the baby just a day before she planned to share the joyful news with her social media followers. By that time, she had already completed her maternity photoshoot, anticipating a happy announcement.

She revealed that she had been experiencing intense discomfort for several days, which she initially believed was related to her arthritis. One doctor even dismissed her concerns, attributing the pain to her pre-existing condition. However, a second medical opinion revealed that she was, in fact, experiencing a miscarriage.

Sambhavna also highlighted a common misconception—that major pregnancy complications only arise or become apparent after the first trimester. She emphasised that with IVF pregnancies, the situation is often far more complex and unpredictable.
