Ingredients:

For the Koftas:

  • 2 cups soya chunks, boiled & ground coarsely or soya granules
  • 1 big potato, boiled
  • 3 tbsp roasted gram flour
  • 1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • Oil, to pan fry

For the Curry:

  • 1-2 tbsp oil
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 5-6 peppercorns
  • 2 small bay leaves
  • 1 big onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • Paste of 6-7 cashews
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi, crushed
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions:

  • Add all the ingredients mentioned for kofta in a bowl except oil. Mix well and make small balls. Pan fry or deep fry in oil until golden brown and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add cloves, pepper, cardamom, bay leaf and cook for 5 -7 seconds. Add in onions and cook until lightly browned. Add in ginger garlic paste, green chillies and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add in tomato puree, spice powders and cook covered until the masala leaves oil.
  • Add in cashew paste, water and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add in kasuri methi, koftas and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
