Dipika Kakar Says She Is Still In Pain' After 13mm Cyst Surgery: "Your Prayers Give Me Strength"

A few months after revealing her liver cancer diagnosis, YouTuber and actor Dipika Kakar has undergone another medical procedure to remove a 13-mm cyst. She was recently discharged from the hospital and shared a detailed health update with fans through a vlog on YouTube. Meanwhile, her husband Shoaib Ibrahim posted a glimpse of the family observing Iftar together during Ramadan.

"It Took Me Some Time To Deal With It"

Speaking about the procedure, Dipika said she and her family returned home the previous night and confirmed that the surgery went smoothly. However, she admitted that emotionally processing the recurrence was not easy.

“Last night we returned home. The entire procedure went smoothly. People prepare you that it might recur, but when it actually happens, the way it feels, it takes time to deal with it. It took me some time, too. And it was so sudden because we found out, and the doctor said, ‘Let's get admitted on Monday.' Plus, in between, it was our anniversary," she shared.

The RFA Procedure Explained:

Dipika revealed that she was particularly anxious before this procedure and broke down emotionally. Doctors reportedly reassured her before proceeding.

“This time, when I was going in for the procedure, I was very anxious. I was crying a lot. The doctors calmed me down. This time, the procedure wasn't in the OT; it was in the CT room. It's a process called RFA, where they burned my cyst, and because it was very small, we were able to do it this way. If it had been bigger, the procedure would have been more difficult," she explained.

Radiofrequency Ablation, commonly referred to as RFA, is a minimally invasive procedure used to destroy abnormal tissue. Dipika said she continues to experience some discomfort but is gradually healing.

“Your Prayers Give Me Strength"

She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support. She even asked her young son, Ruhaan, to thank everyone who had been praying for her recovery.

“I still feel pain in the area where it was done. It's a pulling pain when I move. This time, when I regained consciousness, I felt a lot of pain. When I came back to my ward, I read comments and found all of you praying for me. That gives a lot of strength. Whenever I read your comments, I am just in tears," she said.

Grateful To Be Home For Ramadan:

In Shoaib Ibrahim's vlog, Dipika shared that observing Ramadan fasts would have been difficult had she remained hospitalized. She expressed relief at being home in time to join her family for Iftar.

“The pain is eventually getting better with time. It is healing, so the nature of pain keeps changing. I am glad that Shoaib is doing iftar, sitting together with the kids and everyone else," she said.

Towards the end of the vlog, Shoaib surprised Dipika with a rose, handing it to her through their son Ruhaan, adding a tender moment to an otherwise emotionally heavy chapter.

As Dipika continues her recovery, she remains hopeful and deeply grateful for the prayers and support that have carried her through yet another health challenge.
