15-Minute Paneer Tikka Masala Recipe Without Cream or Butter

If you're a fan of the spicy and rich flavor of Paneer Tikka Masala, you're going to love this easy recipe from Malvika Hada Kumar. It's just 15 minutes and made without cream or butter, but tastes exactly like your restaurant favorite. This can be served when there are unexpected guests at home or when you want to have a quick fix for your lunchbox.
Ingredients
For Paneer Tikka Mixture:
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 cup mixed bell pepper, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, cut into cubes
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/3 tsp chaat masala powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp kasuri methi, crushed
For Gravy:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 cup tomato ginger garlic puree (2 medium tomatoes + 1 inch ginger + 3-4 cloves garlic)
- Ginger julienned, a few
- 2-3 green chillies, slit
- 1/4 tsp kasuri methi, crushed
Instructions
First, combine all the ingredients given for paneer tikka masala mixture. Set aside. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, tomato puree and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add paneer mixture and cook on low heat for 5-6 mins. Add green chillies, julienned ginger and mix well. Garnish with kasuri methi and serve.
