Ram Kapoor in Awe of Rakhi Sawant's Hardwork: "She Achieved This Herself..."

Ram Kapoor has praised Rakhi Sawant in his latest interview. He opened up about how Rakhi had built a name for herself in the Hindi film industry without having any godfather. Ram Kapoor got to know Rakhi when he hosted her 'Swayamvar' in 2009. The winner of 'Rakhi Ka Swayamvar' was Elesh Parujanwala, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The season was aired from 29 June 2009 to 2 August 2009. Rakhi and Elesh got engaged during the finale and later split up after a couple of months.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ram spoke about how he may not agree with Rakhi's opinions most of the times, but he respects her for making a name for herself without having any connection in the industry.

"Rakhi Achieved it Herself..."

"Today, the entire nation knows Rakhi Sawant's name," Ram said. "She lives in a 3 BHK sea-facing apartment in Mumbai which I have been to which she owns. Respect! She achieved this herself. I might not agree with her philosophy, madness… waahiyaat cheezein bolti hai wo but wo jo bhi hai, jo bhi karti hai, the fact is she has managed to make her life by herself and I have seen it."

"Industry Wanted to Misuse Her"

He added, "How could you not respect it? Koi ek nice, sexy dancer jisko industry misuse karna chahte the… bahut saari gandi experiences hai uski… no godfather… nothing… ye sab dekha maine because of ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar' so you learn from everything."

Ram Kapoor has been making headlines for his incredible physical transformation. He shed an impressive 55 kilos dropping from 140 kilos to 85 kilos in just a year. This wasn't a sudden change. It was a journey five years in the making. "For five years I was on a weight loss roller coaster losing 30 kilos and then gaining it back," he said in a podcast with Devna Gandhi.
