Hina Khan Reveals Why She and Rocky Jaiswal Tied the Knot in Less Than 15 Minutes

Hina Khan recently opened up about the emotional circumstances that led to her marriage with longtime partner Rocky Jaiswal, revealing that the couple tied the knot in less than 15 minutes while she was undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer. During a candid conversation with Sania Mirza on her podcast, Hina reflected on the deeply personal decision that changed her life during one of its most uncertain phases.

Unexpected Decision:

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal got married in an intimate register marriage ceremony at their Mumbai home in June 2025. Looking back at her wedding day, Hina revealed that the decision was entirely spontaneous and not something the couple had planned in advance. 

Recalling the moment, she said, "This was just a random decision. We didn't plan this. I don't think we were ready to get married or anything. We have been together for the longest time, more than 10 years. I think 13-14 years now. And it is just that, whatever I was going through health-wise, I told him, ‘Either you move ahead… you go get married to somebody, whoever you want to, or you better get married to me because I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.'" 

Married In Minutes:

During the conversation, Sania Mirza was surprised by how quickly the ceremony took place and asked if the couple got married in just 15 minutes. Responding to her question, Hina said, “In less than that, actually."

She further explained that her health condition and the uncertainty surrounding the future influenced the decision. “If I had to put it that way, it was uncertainty, because I don't know what is going to happen. That is with everybody, to be very honest. So I was just like, ‘Let's go ahead and do it.' And he said, ‘Okay.' He never had issues."

Marriage Changed Little:

Despite officially becoming husband and wife, Hina shared that very little changed in their relationship after marriage. Speaking earlier about life post-wedding, she explained that the ceremony felt more like a formal acknowledgment of a bond that had already stood strong for more than a decade. 

The couple was so relaxed about married life that they even forgot their one-month anniversary, only realizing it a day later. According to Hina, their day-to-day relationship remained exactly the same. 

Love Story Began On Set:

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal first met on the sets of the popular television show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. While Hina played the lead role of Akshara, Rocky was associated with the show as a producer. Their friendship gradually blossomed into love, and the couple made their relationship public in 2017. Since then, they have continued to support each other through life's highs and lows, standing together through every challenge.
