Kanika Mann Opens Up About Abusive Past Relationship In 'Bigg Boss 20': "Wo Mujhe Bhi Maar Sakta Tha"

Kanika Mann opened up about a painful chapter from her past during the latest episode of 'Bigg Boss 20'. In an emotional conversation with fellow contestants, she recalled the abuse she allegedly faced in a toxic relationship during her college days. Her candid revelations left housemates shocked as she spoke about physical violence, emotional manipulation and constant fear.

College Romance Turned Toxic:

Kanika shared that the relationship began when she was in her first year of college. Feeling left out after seeing her friends spend hours talking to their boyfriends, she decided to create a Facebook account. It was there that she met her first boyfriend. Recalling the beginning of the relationship, Kanika said, “So, Facebook chalayi, Facebook pe account banaya. Jo Pehle ladka, jisne thoda sa bhav diya, wo apna boyfriend ban gaya."

However, what started as a casual college romance gradually turned into a disturbing experience. Looking back, Kanika described her former partner as a “psycho” and revealed that his behaviour became increasingly controlling and aggressive.

Physical Abuse And Fear:

Kanika claimed that her ex-boyfriend would often show up unannounced at her college and interfere in her personal choices, including the clothes she wore. Recalling a shocking incident, she said, “Phir usne mujhe kis baat pe chataka (slap) maara kyunki maine stripes wala suit pehna hua tha."

She also revealed that she had recently got a piercing at the time and was left bleeding after the altercation. What hurt her further was that no one around stepped in to support her despite witnessing the incident.

Disturbing Threats And Intimidation:

Kanika further alleged that her ex-boyfriend frequently used emotional pressure and fear to control her. According to her, he would threaten to call her father whenever she disagreed with him or refused to accompany him. On one occasion, he even made the call, although her father did not answer.

She also narrated a frightening episode in which her former boyfriend allegedly cut himself with a knife in front of her. Recalling her fear, Kanika said, “Jis tarah se wo abusive raha tha mujhe pura darr tha wo mujhe bhi maar sakta hai."

Seeking Help And Moving Forward:

Kanika revealed that the relationship eventually ended after her ex-boyfriend followed her from the hostel to her college department, pulled her by the hand and cut himself with a knife in front of her. She claimed he also threatened to apply sindoor using his blood, leaving her terrified.

Unable to tolerate the harassment any longer, Kanika sought police help. She said her former boyfriend was jailed for two to three days. Although his family allegedly continued threatening her, she eventually found strength in the support of her own family, which helped her navigate the difficult phase and move forward with her life.
