Hina Khan Opens Up About Toughest Phase Of Her Cancer Journey: "I Asked Rocky To Marry Someone Else"

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal have long been one of television's most loved couples, but their journey has not been without challenges. The actress, who recently celebrated her first wedding anniversary with Rocky, has now opened up about some of the most difficult moments they faced during her battle with stage 3 breast cancer.

In a candid conversation on her podcast, POV, Hina and Rocky addressed speculation surrounding their marriage and reflected on how their relationship survived one of the toughest phases of their lives.

Hina And Rocky React To Marriage Rumours:

Hina and Rocky tied the knot in June 2025 after being together for nearly 13-14 years. However, following their appearance on 'Pati, Patni Aur Panga', some social media users speculated that the wedding was done for publicity.

Dismissing the claims, Hina said, "I really don't care what people say; we know the reality. If you look at it from a publicity point of view, the actual real reason disappears.”

Rocky also responded to the rumours, saying, “People have gotten so used to believing what's false that they assume we actually married for the show.”

The actress further clarified that their wedding had been planned months in advance and was not linked to any television project.

"We got married because we dated for the longest time, 13-14 years, and we wouldn't have gotten married even now. It was all decided months in advance; it was under the Special Marriages Act. So we had to plan everything well in advance. We got married because we didn't know about tomorrow. We had even decided the date well in advance."

Hina Opens Up About Cancer Battle:

During the conversation, Hina got emotional while recalling the impact her health challenges had on their relationship.

Reflecting on that difficult period, she shared, “What kept our relationship going with whatever we have faced, there have been tough times and rough patches not in terms of compatibility. We are not in that space where we fight; we have been in real-life crises. Healthwise, whatever we have been through, especially in my case and his mother's case, there have been times when I asked him to marry someone else. I told him many things won't be the way they were. That's where your love is tested; I was not testing him. Had he chosen that, I would have been happy for him; I love him so much that his happiness is more important than being with him.”

Rocky's Support Made The Difference:

Hina also praised Rocky for standing by her side when she needed him the most.

“He chose to be with me in thick and thin; it was a very rough patch, we had to take tough decisions, and we did. Anyone who has been there with me at that time knows that I was able to do it only because of him. He made it look like a cakewalk.”

The actress also reiterated that marriage has not changed their relationship. For Hina and Rocky, it was simply a formal recognition of a bond that had already stood the test of time, love, and life's biggest challenges.
