  • Slams trolls over fake promotion' claims

Bhagyashree has finally addressed the criticism surrounding her viral lassi video, which sparked a debate online after a behind-the-scenes clip from her shoot began circulating on social media. The actor, known for sharing wellness and lifestyle insights with her followers, defended both her endorsement of the drink and her intention behind promoting local food culture.

The controversy began after a BTS video showed Bhagyashree praising a glass of lassi during a shoot. Once filming ended, she was seen putting the glass aside and walking away, leading some social media users to accuse her of giving a "fake endorsement."

Bhagyashree Explains Why She Enjoyed The Lassi:

Responding to the criticism, Bhagyashree detailed the circumstances under which she consumed the drink and explained why it was beneficial for her at the time.

“Lassi on a hot day. I had been up since 3am to do the mangala aarti, then walking down the Gangaghats in the immense heat, this lassi was just the energy booster I needed. Sprinkled with dryfuits on top I enjoyed the crunch. Salted or sweet is a matter of choice and yes for those who are diabetic, indulgence of a sweetened lassi would not be the right choice. Curds is rich in calcium, protein, probiotics. The sugar/gud gives energy & water hydrates.... for me it was the perfect combination in the heat of 40°. And along with the outstanding taste it was also the love with which it was made,” she wrote.

Her explanation highlighted the nutritional benefits of curd-based drinks while also clarifying that her recommendation was specific to the situation she found herself in during the intense summer heat.

Bhagyashree Hits Back At ‘Fake Promotion' Claims:

Bhagyashree also strongly reacted to the allegations that the video was misleading. Questioning those who judged the clip without knowing the full context, she pointed out that a shortened version of the footage was being shared online.

“There is a clip of this video going around saying its fake promotion. Kya aap the wahan par? Kya kahin bhi uss fake clip ke dauran kisine, sunna, ya record kiya ki meine yeh kaha ki its is too sweet and that I will not have it? Kya aapke Ma ne kabhi garmi mein aapko lassi nahi pilai... fake toh aaddha video, aadhi knowledge ke saath upload karna hota hein. Local food ko promote karne se koi bhi paise nahi kamate. The only good is that local food, local vendors get support. It is a shame that idle minds have nothing nice to say even about the simplest of things. Kashi is a place of purity, how insignificant is your rant.”

Standing Up For Local Vendors:

Beyond defending herself, Bhagyashree emphasized that promoting local food and small vendors is not about profit but about supporting local communities. The actor's response has since drawn mixed reactions, with some fans applauding her clarification while others continue to debate the viral clip online.
