Shreya Kalra Breaks Silence On 'Lock Upp 2' Bias Allegations; Questions Double Standards

Shreya Kalra has finally addressed the criticism surrounding her victory in ‘Lock Upp 2', where a section of viewers alleged that the reality show was biased in her favour. While many fans celebrated her journey and ultimate win, others questioned whether she truly deserved the trophy. Responding to the backlash, Shreya made it clear that she stands by her achievement and sees no reason to justify her win.

Shreya Responds To Criticism:

During a recent Instagram Ask Me Anything session, Shreya was asked about people claiming that she did not deserve to win and that the show was biased. In response, the reality star defended herself and pointed out that several contestants also received special opportunities during the season.

She said, “You tell me if not me then who? Why didn't people call the show biased when contestants were brought back? Why didn't they call the show biased when they were kept in the secret room? Why didn't they say it was biased when an advantage was taken away from me and given to someone else? Why didn't they say it then? (Mic drop ho chuka hai guys) The mic has already dropped, guys."

Her statement quickly grabbed attention online, with fans supporting her for openly addressing the criticism.

Twists And Turns In The Season:

The second season of ‘Lock Upp' was packed with dramatic twists that gave several contestants another shot at the competition. Akanksha Choudhary returned to the game after spending time in a secret room following her eviction. Similarly, Yogesh Rawat and Harshad Chopda re-entered the show as wildcards just weeks before the grand finale.

Shreya herself was handed a major advantage during a semi-final task, allowing her to decide an immediate elimination. She chose Shivangi Joshi, but the final decision rested with Harshad Chopda, who gave up his finalist position to save Shivangi and was eventually eliminated himself.

Farah Khan Addresses Bias Claims:

The controversy also drew host Farah Khan into the discussion. Trolls accused her of favouring Shreya because both are associated with the same talent management company, Qyuki.

Addressing the allegations in a vlog, Farah clarified, “After two weeks I got to know because people started commenting that I was a biased host. Why? Because her YouTube company and mine are managed by the same team named Qyuki. They have 70 content creators! So I called them and asked if Shreya is under them, and they said yes. But I didn't know, so how was I biased?"

With both Shreya and Farah dismissing the allegations, the debate around the ‘Lock Upp 2' finale continues among viewers.
