- 1 tbsp chana dal
- 1 tbsp Urad dal
- 4-5 dry red chillies
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 5-6 shallots
- 2-3 tbsp grated coconut
- 1 sprig of curry leaves
- 1 small piece of tamarind
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tsp oil
