For snack lovers who want the crunchiness, spiciness, and creaminess all on a single plate, Bang Bang Paneer is a must-try dish. The dish, submitted by chef and food influencer Saloni Kukreja, is famous for its quick devouring after being served. It is a great appetizer for party gatherings or even a delicious evening snack that will definitely invite repeated enjoyment.

How to Make Bang Bang Paneer?

First, Get Your Ingredients

To make the crispy paneer, you're going to need a paneer block, a small amount of flour (maida), cornstarch, chilli powder, salt, garlic, milk, and vinegar. For the sauce, you'll need some sriracha, mayo, vinegar, chilli flakes, a pinch of sugar, salt, pepper, and for toppings in the form of green onions and sesame seeds.

Mixing and Coating the Paneer

Begin with mixing milk and vinegar to make a buttermilk substitute. In a separate mixing bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, chili powder, and salt. Gradually add the buttermilk while whisking to get a uniform batter. Add minced garlic and let the batter rest for a few minutes.

Cut the paneer into cube shape and pat dry. Dip one of the cubes in the batter and ensure it's well coated. Then toss them into your air fryer at 180°C for around 18–20 minutes, until crispy and golden.

Time for the Sauce!

While the paneer is cooking, make your bang bang sauce. Whisk together the sriracha, mayonnaise, vinegar, chilli flakes, sugar, salt, and pepper until the sauce is smooth. Once the paneer is cooked, toss the paneer in this sauce until every piece is coated very well.

Finish it with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and that's it! Serve it hot and watch it vanish.

Warning: Extremely addictive. You'll probably want to make again.
