Highlights
  • Shenaz calls out the Indian "me first" mindset fueling our garbage crisis
  • Only 25% of Indias daily 160 tons of waste is treated
  • Her message? "If we love India, lets prove it by keeping her clean

Actor, traveler, and profound changemaker Shenaz Treasury shines a deep spotlight on something that many ignore but all experience on a daily basis- India's rising garbage problem.

Her video isn't just a rant about the trash, it's also a deep reflection on the deeper "me first" mindset that's highly polluting not just our own land, but our values too. With moving words and the painful truths, she calls out to all Indians to shift from apathy to huge accountability.

Trash on the Tracks, Sewage in the Ganga: The Ugly Truth-

The video initially opens up with a very sharp image- a senior railway employee, educated and respected, nonchalantly dumping the garbage on the railway tracks, despite the objections.

Shenaz asks: How did we even get here? And more importantly, why do we even think someone else will clean it up?

She goes on to drop the jaw-dropping facts:

India generates about 160 tons of garbage daily- only 25% is actually treated.

The Ganga, much sacred to millions, receives about 3 billion litres of sewage on every day.

Microplastics are now found in almost everything- our milk, food, and even blood.

We often honk, cut lines, and dump garbage while also saying “Bharat Mata ki Jai.”

From Yoga Country to Chaos Country?

Shenaz deeply reflects on a national identity once highly rooted in humility, patience, and collective good- “Pehle Aap”, a phrase once a symbolic of Indian politeness and now lost in the blare of horns and the growing selfishness.

The yoga that once taught profound peace and discipline is now being overshadowed by noise pollution, plastic waste, and even selfishness.

Her emotional call-to-action is much clear:

“If we love this country, then we must show it. By keeping our India clean.”

Hence,

This isn't just about the railway tracks or sewage stats. Shenaz Treasury highly challenges us to rewrite our civic habits, beginning with the personal responsibility.

We can't always rely on the government alone. Change often starts at home. Because if we don't act now, then we can risk losing the India that we all claim to love.
