Reality TV personality Uorfi Javed has claimed that her housing society has introduced a new rule preventing her from creating content inside her own apartment. The actress and social media influencer alleged that the move was aimed at harassing her after she raised objections to an earlier society regulation regarding guest entry.

According to Uorfi, the issue escalated after she reportedly called the police over a rule that required residents to seek permission from their landlords for guests entering their apartments after 6 PM.

Society Restricts Content Creation:

Taking to Instagram Stories, Uorfi expressed her frustration over the latest restriction imposed by the society committee. She alleged that the committee had specifically introduced the rule to target her. “Meri society committee ne ek rule nikala hai naya mujhe pareshan karne k liye (My society committee has introduced a new rule to harass me) – I can't shoot any content in my own house!”

Uorfi further claimed that the committee considers her social media shoots to be commercial activity because the content contributes to her popularity online. According to her, this reasoning has been used to justify the restriction on filming inside her residence.

Alleges Harassment By Committee Members:

In another Instagram Story, Uorfi alleged that tensions began after she challenged the society's guest-entry regulations. She claimed that some committee members took offence to her actions and have since been targeting her. “This hurt their fragile male ego. They told my landlord to kick me out, which she didn't, so now 4-5 men have had to use such low-level tactics to harass me/ kind of proud of myself.”

The influencer also alleged that visitors arriving at her home are being scrutinised if they are suspected of carrying cameras or filming equipment.

Questions Legality Of New Restrictions:

Uorfi stated that society members have been checking guests' bags and questioning individuals entering her apartment. She questioned the legality of such measures and argued that content creation inside one's home should be a personal matter. “Every other person shoots content in their house, how is this rule even legal? What I do in my own house is my business,” she wrote.

Similar Complaints Raised Earlier:

This is not the first time Uorfi has spoken about issues with her housing society. Earlier, she had revealed on X that the society had introduced a rule barring guests from entering the premises after 10 PM. She alleged that even people visiting for professional commitments such as interviews and shoots were stopped from entering her residence.

On the professional front, Uorfi Javed was most recently seen hosting MTV's 'Splitsvilla X6' alongside Sunny Leone, Karan Kundrra and Nia Sharma.
