Karan Wahi On Uditi Singh Breakup: "I Wanted The Relationship To Materialise Into Marriage..."

Karan Wahi has spoken candidly about his past relationship with Uditi Singh, who is currently seen on 'Bigg Boss 20'. In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his podcast, Karan reflected on the relationship, revealing that he entered it with the intention of eventually getting married. However, he clarified that while marriage was his goal, the couple had never reached the stage of planning a wedding.

The actor also opened up about why the relationship ended, admitting that compatibility issues played a major role in their separation.

Karan Wanted The Relationship To Lead To Marriage:

Recalling the phase when he began dating Uditi, Karan shared that he was in his early thirties and had a clear vision of what he wanted from a serious relationship. Unlike earlier years, he was no longer interested in relationships that lacked long-term direction.

He said, “I was 33-34 when I started dating her. So, I was at an age where I was like this time when I get into a relationship, this has to materialise into marriage. Otherwise I don't want a relationship.” Karan explained that he entered the relationship hoping it would eventually culminate in marriage. However, he stressed that this intention was often misinterpreted by people as confirmation that wedding plans were already underway.

Sets The Record Straight On Marriage Rumours:

Addressing speculation that the couple were on the verge of tying the knot, Karan clarified that no such plans had been finalised. “There was nothing called as that we were about to get married or we've plans of getting married. I think it was the intention to take it to marriage, which I think have been misconstrued as shaadi hone wali thi,” he said.

According to the actor, his desire for a meaningful, long-term relationship was mistakenly viewed as an imminent wedding announcement.

‘We Were Not Compatible Enough':

Speaking about the breakup, Karan offered a straightforward explanation for why the relationship could not survive. “I think we were not compatible enough. Atleast that's my truth,” he said.

The actor also dismissed rumours suggesting that family objections or parental interference were responsible for the split. Although the pair's relationship often attracted attention because of their nearly 10-year age difference, Karan did not cite it as the reason behind their separation.

Meanwhile, Uditi Singh has also discussed her relationship with Karan during her stint on 'Bigg Boss 20'. The actress has spoken about the frequent arguments they had before eventually deciding to part ways.
