Shalini Passi Reveals Her Haircare Secrets: "I Don't Use Shampoos"

Shalini Passi got overnight fame with her appearance in Netflix's 'Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives'. Now, she has revealed her hair care secrets and mentioned that she has never colored her hair.

"I Don't Colour My Hair"

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, she said, "I don't colour my hair. I have two white hair - one from the pandemic and one from my son's college admissions. This is my natural hair color. I use Reetha (Indian soapberry) and amla to wash it. You first soak it in water for 24 hours or more, and then you grind it. It's like a natural shampoo. So, I use that. Just sometimes, when I am travelling, I use regular shampoo. I also use coconut oil."

"I Avoid Anything With Silicone"

She added, "I avoid anything with silicone. I don't use shampoos or hair products that have silicone. I don't straighten my hair permanently, but I do occasionally do it with an iron. He [Shalini's hairstylist] is not allowed to spray anything on my scalp. Also, I have donated my hair [and] shaved it four times in Tirupati. So, that's why I don't style or colour my hair."

She also discussed her hairstyling in an interview with NDTV and she mentioned that she does not experiment much with her hair and does not style it often as she donates it to the temple. She said, "Even for me when I shaved my hair at Tirupati, I shaved it four times. So, for me also, I don't want to style my hair much. Because ultimately, I will donate it." She highlighted that she donated her hair last in 2018.

Shalini featured alongside Kalyani Chawla and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as a part of the Delhi group in the latest season of the Netflix show, which brought back the original Mumbai ‘wives' Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Bhavana Pandey and Neelam Kothari. Shalini's eccentricities made her a standout on the show and attracted a lot of attention from her fellow cast members.
