From Contestant To Gang Leader: Bani J Opens Up About Her Full-Circle Journey In 'Roadies REBIRTH'

For actor and television personality Bani J, 'Roadies' has always been more than just a reality show. Nearly two decades after she first appeared as a contestant, she is now returning to the franchise as a Gang Leader in the latest season, 'Roadies REBIRTH'.

Bani's journey with the popular reality show began in 2006 when she auditioned for Season 4 as an 18-year-old with a fearless attitude and a desire to stand out. Her confidence and determination quickly made her one of the most memorable contestants of the season. She eventually finished as the first runner-up, a milestone that helped shape her future career in the entertainment industry.

From Contestant To Host:

Following her successful stint on the show, Bani stepped into the entertainment world and made her film debut at the age of 19. Over the years, she built a diverse career across films, television and digital platforms.

Her association with 'Roadies' also continued to evolve. After former host Rannvijay Singha moved into the role of Gang Leader, Bani took over hosting duties, becoming the only former contestant in the show's history to serve as host. The transition marked another significant chapter in her long-standing relationship with the franchise.

Apart from 'Roadies', Bani also showcased her versatility through reality shows such as 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 4' and 'Bigg Boss 10'. She later explored acting further and gained appreciation for her role as Umang Singh in the web series 'Four More Shots Please!'.

A New Challenge Awaits:

Now, Bani is set to embrace a new responsibility as one of the Gang Leaders in 'Roadies REBIRTH'. The season introduces an OGs versus NewGs format, featuring six Gang Leaders divided into two rival camps.

Bani will represent the NewGs alongside Abhishek Malhan and Baseer Ali. They will face off against the OG team comprising Nikhil Chinapa, Neha Dhupia and Prince Narula. Interestingly, Nikhil was part of the audition panel when Bani first entered the show, making this new rivalry even more special.

Speaking about her return, Bani shares, “Roadies has changed a lot and so have I, and coming back as a NewG is definitely an interesting feeling. I've experienced this show from so many different perspectives – as a contestant, a host and now as a Gang Leader. Each role has taught me something different, and that's what makes returning so special. As a Gang Leader, I'm looking forward to creating a solid gang and can't wait to meet the Roadies that come into the journey. Being a Roadie isn't easy- you have to earn your place in the journey day by day. With the OGs and the NewGs coming together, there's obviously going to be a lot more unpredictability. New faces, new dynamics, new rivalries and probably a few things nobody sees coming. That's what makes Roadies exciting. Let's see who actually has the guts to rise from the ashes.”

Leading The Next Generation:

Having experienced the show as a contestant, host and now Gang Leader, Bani brings a unique perspective to the competition. She understands that succeeding in 'Roadies' requires mental strength, adaptability and unwavering self-belief.

As 'Roadies REBIRTH' begins a new chapter, Bani returns not just as a participant but as a mentor determined to guide the next generation of Roadies and help build a team capable of going the distance.
