Sana Makbul Gets Hospitalized; Here's What We Know So Far

Social media personality and 'Bigg Boss OTT 3' winner Sana Makbul has been hospitalized, moments after posting photos from her Eid celebration with her family. Though the details of her ailment haven't been revealed yet, her friend Dr Aashna Kanchwala posted a photo of Sana from the hospital bed, praying for her speedy recovery.

Sana Makbul appeared frail in her hospital photo. Extending best wishes, Aashna wrote, "My strongest Diva, I'm so proud of you for showing so much strength and resilience as you battle such a grave condition. Inshallah, you will fight this and come out even stronger… Allah is with you. And I am always here to stand by you. Get well soon, my love @divasana."

Recently, Sana Makbul revealed that she has been quietly battling autoimmune issues for some time now, which may have triggered her sudden hospitalization. While her condition remains serious, those close to her have lauded her unwavering strength and composed spirit in the face of adversity. She is yet to comment on this.

Sana Revealed She Has Autoimmune Liver Disease:

Earlier this year, Sana opened up about her autoimmune liver disease that she has been battling since 2020. The condition is similar to myositis, which actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu suffers from. Speaking on Bharti Singh's podcast, Sana shared, "I have turned vegan recently due to health reasons. A lot of people don't know that I am an autoimmune hepatitis patient. I have a liver disease; it was diagnosed in 2020. It has no specific symptoms. In this, my body cells are attacking the organ. So, in my case, it's sometimes lupus; it hits your kidneys or causes arthritis. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has myositis, which is a muscle condition. I have it with the liver."

Despite her confident demeanor on 'Bigg Boss OTT 3', Sana confessed that coping with her health condition is difficult. She explained, “I take steroids, suppressants, or some medicines. It's a lifestyle disorder, but with the autoimmune condition, the liver condition is a tricky thing. My health keeps fluctuating, I don't know if this can be cured completely."
