A recent episode of 'India's Got Latent' has sparked widespread discussion online after a candid exchange between comedian Samay Raina and fellow comedian Munawar Faruqui went viral on social media. The members-only episode featured actors Raghav Juyal and Niharika NM, along with comedians Rohan Joshi and Munawar Faruqui, and is yet to be released on Netflix.
The conversation, which touched upon the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, quickly drew attention from viewers and reignited discussions around the sensitive issue.
Viral Moment:
The exchange began when contestant Vanika Raikta, who hails from Shimla, spoke about her family's apple orchards. Reacting to the discussion, Raghav Juyal turned to Samay Raina and asked, “Tumhara bhi toh tha na seb ka bageecha, Kashmir mein? (Didn't you also have an apple orchard in Kashmir?).”
Responding to the comment, Samay said, “Hamara toh bahut kuch tha,” a statement many interpreted as a reference to the displacement of Kashmiri Pandits during the insurgency in Kashmir.
As Raghav patted him on the back, Samay then turned towards Munawar Faruqui and quipped, “Bol ab ispe.” The unexpected remark left the panel laughing, while Munawar replied with a smile, “It wasn't me,” drawing another round of laughter from the audience.
Samay further added, “Yeh humare saath hua hai, yeh nahi bolega (This happened to us, he won't say anything now).”
The clip soon went viral across social media platforms, prompting mixed reactions from viewers.
Samay On His Family's Past:
This is not the first time Samay has publicly spoken about the experiences of his family as Kashmiri Pandits. Earlier this year, during his stand-up special 'Still Alive', he reflected on lessons passed down through generations.

“You only fight when the fight is fair. When the fight is not fair, you f**k off from there. Kashmir Pandit wisdom,” he had said.
He further explained, “We Pandits were only 5 percent in Kashmir. If we had taken up arms... everyone would have died. I am glad that they chose to leave, at least we are alive, living and rocking it.”
Background Of The Show:
'India's Got Latent' has remained one of the most talked-about digital shows in recent years. In February 2025, the show found itself at the centre of controversy following remarks made by influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps.
The incident led to widespread criticism, multiple FIRs, and the removal of the episode from YouTube. Samay later took down all episodes of the show from his channel amid the backlash.
Earlier this year, the show returned with a revamped format, with episodes slated for simultaneous release on YouTube and Netflix. The latest viral clip has once again placed 'India's Got Latent' at the centre of online conversations.
