- "Social media has been a great platform..."
YouTuber Navya Naveli Nanda has recently addressed the trolling that she faced over her admission to IIM-Ahmedabad. She said that she didn't think she could be offended by what they said.
"Social Media Has Been A Great Platform..."
Talking about social media during & online scrutiny in an interview at India Today Conclave, she said, "Social media has been a great platform because it's given a lot of people a voice, a lot of people who previously might not have that kind of reach. India has some of the finest institutions in the world, and being a part of IIM Ahmedabad is incredible. I feel fortunate to receive higher education under the guidance of some of the finest professors in the world."
"I Need To Look At Feedback..."
She added, "If I consider myself to be working for people, I don't think I can be offended by what they say. I need to look at feedback; it will only make me a better person, a better entrepreneur, and a better Indian. I accept that I come from a very different lived reality. People will have something to say about that. I don't give a lot of thought to what people say negatively; I use it to do the best I can do in my journey."
Earlier, Navya faced severe trolling when announced that she enrolled in the BPGP MBA program at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad. Netizens accused her of 'fooling' people.
Here's What Netizens Said:
A user wrote "Nice joke! She has put a story that some coaching institute helped her clear the CAT/IAT. But look at all her posts from November 2022 to November 2023, because a minimum of 1 year is required to prepare for the exam, and also to get in through the general category, she would need top rank. During the duration from Nov 2022 to Nov 2023, she has posted several travel pics, event pics, ads, promotions, and much more. Do you really think it's possible to clear such a competitive exam after not dedicating herself to preparation? Anyone with political power and money can bribe a coaching institute to fake that she got coached there. What a shame!"
Navya runs a podcast on YouTube 'What The Hell Navya' in which hosts her family members touching different aspects of life.
