Highlights
  • Miss Universe India Nehal Chudasama enters Bigg Boss 19
  • She promises to show her raw, unfiltered side inside the house
  • Her all-time fav Bigg Boss stars are strong-headed women

After representing India at Miss Universe, Nehal Chudasama is ready for the next big chapter on Bigg Boss 19, creating a buzz among fans. Before entering the house, we caught up with the stunning diva to talk about her journey, Salman Khan, and everything in between.

Beauty queens are mostly known for diplomacy, but you're known for being savage, what's the most unfiltered thing you've ever said that shocked people?

In a very unfiltered way, I am regularly active on social media, and I have shared my thoughts and opinions without any mask or diplomacy. I'm someone who lives on extremes—if left or right. If there's something my mind doesn't accept or my heart doesn't believe, I don't support it, so there is no diplomacy there, and that's the person you will see inside the house as well.

What side of Nehal are we going to see inside the house?

There's not just one side to Nehal. I think you will see multiple sides of Nehal in the house. To name a few, you will see the savage beauty queen, you will see the girl next door, a soft feminine side, but definitely more of someone with power and strength.

If you had to choose between winning Bigg Boss or being crowned Miss Universe India, what would you pick and why?

That's a tough choice. Going to Miss Universe is representing my nation, and being in Bigg Boss is more about presenting myself to the world. Since I have already had the pleasure or the pride of representing my nation, this time I would choose going inside and winning Bigg Boss because it's now time for the world to see how Nehal Chudasama is as a human.

With all the congratulations you've received, many still don't know about your behind-the-scenes struggles, the doubts, rejections, and pain. Do you ever pause and think, wow, is this really happening?

I feel like, since we all know, anything that reaches or takes you to a massive horizon comes with a set of struggles, doubts, rejection, and pain… immense pain actually. Yes, a lot of people don't know about that, but I think that's what the platform stands for. I would leave no stone unturned or any opportunity to share my story—not for any sympathy, but to inspire and encourage people to do better in their life, to show them that no matter what you go through, you are always going to do better in life with strength and courage. So that's what I would do. Yes, I pause and think about this a lot of times, but I also let it sink in very quickly because I am a manifester. I believe in manifestation, and this is what I have visualized a lot of times. So yes, I pause and think, and yes, this is happening.

From rejections to Miss Universe to now Bigg Boss, what would you say to your younger self and also to those who doubted you?

The only thing I want to tell my younger self is that rejections are a part of life. No one feels the joy of any victory if there are no rejections and failures that happen before. It's been quite a roller-coaster ride, especially for those who know, they know. I have no regret of any failures or rejections because that's something that has led me to what I am doing today. So, I think, along with my present, my younger self is too happy as well.

What excites you the most about living inside the Bigg Boss house?

The living itself, just being able to show every side of me, every personality that I have, all multiple aspects of what makes Nehal, Nehal. I think that's what I'm very excited about, interacting with new people, making new connections, and just having fun.

Salman Khan is hosting—are you nervous, excited, or both?

The only emotion that I am feeling right now is excitement. Standing next to Salman sir, sharing the very space with him, and interacting with him is something that really, really excites me. I have never met him before, so this is truly very exciting.

What do you want the audience to remember you as once you walk out of Bigg Boss?

Besides being the winner of Bigg Boss 19, I want the audience to remember me as a strong-headed person, especially a strong-headed woman who left no stone unturned when it comes to standing up for herself and for things that are right, and speaking up against things that go wrong. I want people to remember me as someone who has massive self-respect for herself, respects others as well, and is just a woman with substance and power.

Bigg Boss always brings its fair share of controversies. Will we see you fighting back or handling them with kindness?

One thing that I am sure of is that in life generally, I can take things against my ego. I'm a very fun-loving person, even if someone triggers my ego, but if someone triggers my self-respect, I have a tendency to naturally fight back. So, I am not going to sit and tolerate any stuff like that, I am going to fight back if it comes against my self-respect or if there's an attack on a person I emotionally connect with.

What's the one thing you know you'll miss the most while being locked inside the house?

There's not just one thing that I will miss the most. I will miss my family, my loved ones, and my dog a lot because that kid doesn't sleep until I reach home. So, I don't know how she is going to survive for the next 4 months. It's going to be emotional every time I think of my loved ones and my dog.

Your all-time favorite Bigg Boss contestants? And the one you'd least want to be compared to?

My all-time favorite Bigg Boss contestants are, again, a set of strong-headed women like Gauahar Khan, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Priya Malik, Tejasswi Prakash. The one I would least want to be compared with is no one, actually. All have played their fair game.
