Social media sensation Akanksha Puri is all set to win hearts with her new show 'Rose Garden'. She will be seen playing a bold and interesting character, Geet. Recently, Akanksha opened up about facing criticism and how she deals with it.

"I Know My Truth..."

Akanksha mentioned how trolling and hate comments are part of the profession, and she tries to focus on the positive. She also opened up about the struggles she faced in the initial days of her acting career.
While talking about the criticism she faces online, she shared, “Trolling is a part of this profession. I have learnt to ignore negativity and focus on people who genuinely support me. At the end of the day, I know my truth, and that keeps me peaceful. I focus on the love I receive and only take constructive criticism that helps me grow.”

"I Used To Take Rejections Personally..."

While talking about the challenges she faced in her early acting days, she shared, “One of the biggest challenges was overcoming my own self-doubt. This industry tests your patience and confidence every single day. Initially, I used to take rejections personally, but over time, I realised that every ‘no' is leading you to the right ‘yes'. Today, I look back and feel those challenges were blessings because they made me emotionally stronger and fearless.”

She further said, “You have to prove yourself with every project and performance. I feel proud that whatever love and respect I have earned is purely on my merit and hard work. I always believed in staying grounded and letting my work speak. I am grateful to the audience for loving me for who I am and not just for the characters I play.”

She further opened up about her character in the show and shared, “What drew me to Geet was her fearless honesty. She is bold, rebellious, and unapologetic about her choices, yet extremely vulnerable when it comes to love and family. She doesn't care about what society thinks, but deep down, she is seeking acceptance.”
