Aahana Kumra's Jibe at Dhanashree Verma For Using Divorce With Yuzvendra Chahal: "Stop The Sob Story..."

Dhanashree Verma's divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal made the most headlines, and months after they parted ways, the two gave interviews separately where they indirectly took digs at each other. Now, with Dhanashree entering Ashnoor Grover's reality show 'Rise and Fall', the choreographer was seen speaking about her divorce multiple times, and now her co-contestant Aahana Kumra has taken a dig at her for playing the victim card.

Dhanashree Verma: "The Whole World is Against Me..."

Dhanashree, who is part of the Rulers in the game, was talking to Aahana Kumra about Arjun Bijlani being authoritative, and while discussing this, she turned the conversation to how she is getting work not because she made news due to her divorce, but because she is talented.

"I am standing here, the whole world is against me, but I am standing here and getting work done today. I had said this earlier, too. I love the industry because people are still giving me work. Mujhe movies pe movies ke offer aa rahe hai (I am getting movie offers one after another), not because of what has happened, but because I have talent. So, if I don't stand up for myself, it has nothing to do with experience; it is to do with intent," Dhanashree said.

"Don't Play The Victim Card..."

While Aahana didn't respond to her immediately, later, while talking to Aditya Narayan and Nayandeep Rakshit, she shared, “Yeh baar baar 2-2 minute mein Dhanashree kyun aapne divorce ke baat karti rehti hai (Why does Dhanashree keep bringing up her divorce every two minutes)? She needs to stop. We are applauding her, but this, I am divorced, and all of this is happening with me, come on, stop the sob story. You are here to play the game, don't play the victim card."

Earlier, Dhanashree had told Aahana, Nayandeep, Pawan Singh, and Arbaz Patel how she continued to respect Yuzvendra Chahal despite having much to express after their divorce. She also addressed the negative PR surrounding her, saying, “If you want to portray yourself in a good light, let your work speak; why put somebody else down to clean your image? When you know, no matter what I do, I am not going to be criticised, then you don't have fear. We live in a country where we know support will be favoured to one particular side. Still, if you want to discuss that, then it's intentional. But it's okay, please, everyone be happy."

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal's Relationship:

Dhanashree and Chahal tied the knot in 2020 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Gurgaon. Reports later suggested that the two had separated in 2022. Their divorce was finalised in March 2025. Since the split, Chahal has been linked to RJ Mahvash, primarily due to their social media posts and public appearances. However, both have always maintained that they are only friends.
