Dhanashree Verma On Negative PR After Divorce With Yuzvendra Chahal: "You Think I Don't Have Things To Say..."

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal parted ways, but they often make headlines for their comments about each other. While Chahal is staying away from the limelight and has given only one podcast, Dhanashree Verma has entered Ashneer Grover–hosted 'Rise and Fall'. In the recent episode of the show, Dhanashree talked about her ex-husband and shared that she is not interested in love anymore.

Dhanashree Verma Address Trolling:

On the day the divorce was granted to the ex-couple, Several eyebrows were raised when Chahal came out of court flaunting a “be your own sugar daddy" T-shirt, which invited heavy trolling for Dhanashree. Now, in a recent episode, she talked about being responsible for the other person's respect in a marriage.

"I Could Have Been Disrespectful Too..."

“Sabke haath mein apni izzat hoti hai (Every person is responsible for their own respect), and when you're in a marriage, you're responsible for the other person too. Their respect is also your responsibility. I could have been disrespectful too, you think I don't have things to say, as a woman? But he was my husband, I respected him even when I was married, and I have to respect the fact that I was married to him," said Dhanashree. Further, the influencer revealed that she is not interested in love anymore. “I'm not cynical about love, maybe that's a harsh word, but I'm not interested."

“If you want to portray yourself in a good light, let your work speak; why put somebody else down to clean your image?" Dhanashree said while talking about being on the receiving end.

"No Matter What I Do, I Am Not Going To Be Criticised..."

“When you know, no matter what I do, I am not going to be criticised, then you don't have fear. We live in a country where we know support will be favoured to one particular side. Still, if you want to discuss that, then it's intentional — but it's okay, please, everyone be happy," she concluded.

Dhanashree Verma's Thoughts On Finding Love:

Earlier, while speaking with ETimes, Dhanashree had shared her thoughts about love and how it cannot be planned. She had said, “Pyaar ki baat karein, toh you can't plan these things. Aap ye decide nahi kar sakte ke main aaj ya ek saal baad pyaar mein padhungi (When it comes to love, you can't plan these things. You can't decide that today or a year later you will fall in love.) Love is a different entity altogether. What matters most to me is mera focus aur main apne life mein aage kya dekh rahi hoon.”

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal's Relationship:

Dhanashree and Chahal tied the knot in 2020 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Gurgaon. Reports later suggested that the two had separated in 2022. Their divorce was finalised in March 2025. Since the split, Chahal has been linked to RJ Mahvash, primarily due to their social media posts and public appearances. However, both have always maintained that they are only friends.
