Content creator Steffy Sunny, who has recently tied the knot with her longtime friend Adharsh, has opened up about her love story with whosthat360 exclusively. She has also shared tips and hacks for the brides.

Here are a few edited excerpts of this delightful conversation,

How did you decide to blend Catholic and Hindu traditions in your wedding ceremony?

We actually decided not to blend the two traditions in the traditional sense, and that was intentional. Adharsh is Hindu, and I'm Catholic, but rather than trying to combine rituals from both faiths, we created something that was uniquely ours. It wasn't about exclusion—it was about crafting a ceremony that felt balanced, honest, and deeply personal. We kept it simple with vows, garlands, and a lot of love. It was intimate, emotional, and exactly what we envisioned.

What inspired you to choose a homegrown label for your bridal outfit?

I've always believed in supporting local creators and small businesses. They bring such heart to their work. For something as personal as my wedding, I didn't want a cookie-cutter designer label. I wanted my outfit to feel like me. Choosing a homegrown label gave me the freedom to be involved in every detail—from the shade of blush pink to the silhouette to my pearl sneakers. It felt personal, real, and reflective of my style.

Can you share some highlights from your decade-long journey with your partner?

Wow, where do I even start! We've been together since school, so there's a lot of history, study sessions, long-distance phases, career pivots, and a million small, everyday moments that made us stronger. One major highlight? Learning how to grow with each other rather than just beside each other. Over the years, we've learned how to communicate, compromise, and laugh through the chaos. That, and the fact that he still remembers my old favorite snack from class 10!

What promises or vows are you looking forward to making to your partner?

We wrote our vows, and I won't spoil them entirely, but a big part of what I promised was presence. Being present not just in the big moments, but in the quiet, mundane ones too. I also promised to never say no to late-night dessert cravings and to always be his loudest cheerleader (and toughest critic when needed!). Our vows were raw, honest, and included a few jokes, because that's just who we are.

What's your skincare routine like leading up to the wedding?

I kept it super simple: hydration, sunscreen, and consistency. I didn't go overboard with new treatments or products because my skin doesn't like surprises! I focused on drinking enough water, getting enough sleep (as much as wedding planning allowed), and religiously cleansing and moisturizing. I did add a few calming facials closer to the day, mostly for the self-care vibes!

What kind of diet are you following to feel your best on your big day?

I'm a big believer in balance. No crash diets or green juices for me. I focused on eating nourishing, wholesome meals that kept my energy up. Lots of home-cooked food, fresh fruits, and I made sure not to skip meals. I did cut back a bit on sugar and fried stuff in the last few weeks—not for weight, but just to avoid feeling sluggish. Also, water. So much water!

What drew you to a non-designer, homegrown label for your bridal outfit?

It came down to wanting something that felt intentional and not mass-produced. I knew I wanted to look like me on my wedding day—not like a version of someone else in a catalog. Working with a homegrown label gave me the freedom to design an outfit that was personal, playful, and uniquely mine. Plus, supporting a local creator added even more heart to the whole process.

What advice or tips would you give to upcoming brides who are planning their weddings?

Start with your why, what does this day mean to you and your partner? Let that guide your decisions. Don't feel pressured to follow every tradition or trend. Make space for the things that matter to you. Also, delegate wherever you can—it's your wedding, not a project presentation. And lastly, don't forget to have fun. Eat the cake, dance like nobody's watching, and let the day be as imperfectly perfect as your love story.
