- Unsalted butter (100 g) and caster sugar (100 g) for a rich, sweet base
- Vanilla extract (1 tsp) for aroma
- All-purpose flour (160 g), baking powder (1 tsp), baking soda (1 tsp), and salt (½ tsp) for structure
- Chocolate chips (½ cup) for that gooey, melty bite
How to Bake It Right:
Preheat your oven to 170°C. Mix the wet and dry ingredients separately, then combine to form a smooth batter. Fold in the chocolate chips and pour into a lined loaf pan. Bake until golden brown, this can take 30 to 50 minutes, depending on your oven. A toothpick inserted should come out clean, with a few moist crumbs.
