Visiting a holy place like a temple or gurudwara fills our hearts with peace and positive energy. But nobody is aware of the simple spiritual rituals to be performed after visiting such a place. According to spiritual guide Gurprriet, not making these three simple mistakes can enable that holy energy to be transmitted to one's home and life.

1. Avoid Washing Your Feet as Soon as You Arrive Home

When you enter a temple or a gurudwara, you are within a space filled with spiritual energies. They are said to return with you when you go home. Washing your feet the very moment you arrive home might deprive you of the sanctity and blessings of the journey. Instead, it is advisable that you enter your house with such energies still intact so that they will seep into every nook and corner.

2. Directly Home or to Work After the Visit

Do not go to shopping malls, restaurants, or any other public area after visiting a temple. Gurprriet suggests going home or straight to your office. The reason is that the divine energy gained from the visitation should not get mixed or diluted in the hustle and bustle of common places. You must keep that spiritual flow intact.

3. Never Bring Home an Empty Utensil

If you carry a lota or any other vessel to the temple or gurudwara, ensure that you don't come back empty-handed. Fill it with something – it may be holy water (jal), sweets, or flowers that were offered to the Lord. If you carry jal, sprinkle it in your house. This purifies your house and spreads divine blessings all over the house.

These easy yet powerful exercises permit us to connect deeply with divine energy, then infuse peace, purity, and positivity into our everyday lives.
