- The sting from the plant boosts circulation and reduces pain naturally
- Introduced by Kasar Devi villagers
On a road trip through the much serene hills of Kasar Devi in Uttarakhand, actor and content creator Shenaz Treasury faced something very unexpected, crippling back pain after a long viral infection that left her whole body stiff and much overwhelmed. Despite trying for multiple painkillers out of desperation, nothing had worked.
That's when the local villagers finally stepped in, with a natural solution deeply rooted in ancient Himalayan wisdom: Bichoo, well known in English as Stinging Nettle.
What is Bichoo (Stinging Nettle)?
Known in English as the Stinging Nettle, Bichoo is a wild medicinal plant that causes a tingling sting when its touched, but ironically, this sting also activates the blood circulation, reduces inflammation, and also relieves the deep-rooted muscular pain.
“It's just like a current,” Shenaz says, “but the sting helped to ease the original pain.”
Shenaz's Powerful Healing Moment-
On a solo road trip through eUttarakhand, Shenaz was deeply hit with body-crippling pain.
Painkillers also failed to help, and despite hating the pills, she took them out of much desperation.
Local villagers in Kasar Devi suggested Bichoo as an ideal remedy.
The sting was too intense, but the relief followed immediately.
Why This Matters-
Shenaz's story is not just a one-off miracle, but it's a strong reminder of the forgotten power of nature. While most people reach for the tablets and treatments, many traditional cultures still rely on some plants like Bichoo for a natural healing.
However, Bichoo is not a DIY remedy. Because of its very strong effect, it should only be used under proper guidance.
In the places like Uttarakhand, locals exactly know how to use it safely for the joint pain, backaches, and even circulation problems.
