Start Your Walk from Aareschlucht West

The best way to enjoy the gorge is to begin your walk at the Aareschlucht West entrance. It's very easy to reach, just a short 2-minute train ride from the town of Meiringen. Once you arrive, you'll walk along a safe and well-maintained path carved into the rock walls. The whole trail takes about 40 to 45 minutes.

End at Aareschlucht Ost and Ride Back

At the far end of the gorge, you will find yourself at the Aareschlucht Ost exit. From there, just take the local train that returns to Meiringen. The train ride itself is lovely and another look at the Swiss countryside.
