- Tuvalu: the worlds least visited country
- This country has only 10,000 people
- Things to do in Tuvalu
Many people around the world have not heard of Tuvalu, a tiny island country. Travel influencer Sandhya Nigam recently shared some very interesting things about this place. Tuvalu is currently the least visited country in the world; less than 1,000 tourists come each year. The most shocking thing about this country is that it might sink under the ocean within the next 20 to 30 years. That's because Tuvalu is only 1 meter above sea level.
A Very Small Country That You Can Walk Around
Tuvalu is the world's fourth smallest country. It is just 12 kilometers long and approximately 30 meters wide. Around 10,000 people reside here. It is so small that it takes just a few hours to walk across the entire country.
The Airport Is a Playground Too
The nation has a tiny airport, and a single flight or two arrives every week. When there are no planes, locals use the runway for playing football and cricket. The airport is converted into a playground, which is something you won't find in other nations.
No Big Hotels, But Lots of Love
There are no hotels in Tuvalu. However, there are a couple of guest houses whose owners take extremely good care of guests. People are very friendly, says Sandhya Nigam. They get extremely excited when a tourist arrives, as if a relative has come to see them.
Fun Things to Do in Nature
Although Tuvalu is a tiny island, you can do lots of enjoyable things. You can snorkel, dive, ride canoes, and walk on clean beaches. The water is extremely clear, and the nature is pristine.
Thanks to Sandhya Nigam, more people are now familiar with Tuvalu. It is a quiet, peaceful location full of kindness and beauty. Visit it if possible—before it's too late.
