  • Explore the rich Inuit culture in Siorapaluk and Sisimiut
  • Cruise with Ponant to experience Greenlands remote beauty efficiently

Looking to fully escape the usual tourist trails and dive much deep into the raw beauty of nature? Savi & Vid, the popular travel creators known for their very immersive global adventures, have recently uncovered one of the world's most untouched destinations- Greenland.

This exotic Arctic gem, is often overlooked by the mainstream travelers, offers a very surreal experience where time stands very still, the air is very pure, and nature fully reigns supreme.

Their journey takes you through the Kullorsuaq, a postcard-perfect village in the northwestern Greenland where only 450 people actually live, and life is very beautifully slow-paced.

They also visited the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the humpback whales glide very gracefully past the enormous floating icebergs that are one of the most breathtaking sights in the whole Arctic.

But Greenland is much more than just ice and it's wildlife. It's a surreal place of cultural richness and the historic marvels. Did you know that kayaks were invented in Greenland? Even today, the locals greatly honor their traditions, and the village elders often arrive in their hand-crafted kayaks to welcome the guests.

Then there's Siorapaluk, one of the best northernmost inhabited places on the Earth, and Sisimiut, a very charming Arctic town filled with the vibrant wooden houses that perfectly glow against the white snow.

Greenland doesn't have any highways, and domestic flights are very expensive and limited. That's why Savi & Vid recommend a perfect week-long journey that fully takes you through the Greenland's most scenic and remote corners in much comfort and ease.

Best time to go there? July to early September, when you'll get a perfect mix of good weather, much frequent whale and polar bear sightings, and, if also lucky, the first glimpse of the Northern Lights, just as Savi & Vid had done!
