- "Did we hear this from any doctor?"
- She also addressed the growing obsession with anti-ageing treatment
The demise of Shefali Jariwala shocked many across the country. Friends and colleagues expressed their sympathies to her actor-husband, Parag Tyagi. While the cause of her cardiac arrest is unknown, a debate developed over anti-ageing treatments and cosmetic operations. Now, Zareen Khan has spoken about it and sharply criticized the callous speculation attributing Shefali's death to cosmetic treatments.
"It's So Unfortunate..."
During the interview, Zareen Khan said, "You know, honestly, I don't even know what to say on this because… is there any proof?" She added, “It's so unfortunate, it's so sad that when a person passes away, the media starts circling around them. The family is grieving, the husband is broken, yet the media is asking what happened. Where is the humanity? Do we really know? Did we hear this from any doctor? Do we have authentic proof?"

She urged for restraint and empathy, saying, "Till the time we don't have concrete proof from doctors, these speculations need to end."
Zareen Khan On Anti-ageing Treatments:
Zareen Khan also addressed the growing obsession with anti-ageing treatment. She mentioned how there are two aspects to this situation. One where people are focusing on fitness while eating right, working out, sleeping on time, etc., that is the natural way, but the second one is cosmetic surgery, and “unfortunately has become a social media trend."
She expressed concern over young girls opting for such procedures under peer and celebrity influence. “I know of girls who haven't even turned 20 but have had lip jobs and other surgeries. Why? Because they're following the wrong idols. It's become a vicious cycle, and in that, tragedies happen."
Shefali Jariwala died at the age of 42 from a sudden heart attack. Despite being transferred to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Mumbai, the doctors ruled her dead upon arrival.
