Munawar Faruqui Says He Fell In Love With Mehzabeen After Marriage: "I am Blessed..."

Munawar Faruqui says life after 'Bigg Boss' was all about attention and fame. But even in the middle of all that chaos, he knew he wanted something far more personal, a family of his own. The comedian and rapper, who tied the knot with Mehzabeen Abdul Rehman earlier this year, opened up about the decision and what marriage has taught him.

Speaking on Prakhar Gupta's YouTube channel, Munawar recalled the phase right after his reality TV stint. “I was getting unlimited attention after Bigg Boss, and in that moment, I was thinking, ‘what am I even doing?' I only want to be loved by one person, and I want a family. This is the right time that I should get married'."

While his past relationships often made headlines during the show, fans were caught off guard when Munawar married Mehzabeen – someone he met after Bigg Boss and wed within three months. "She came into my life, and we decided to get married, and after that, we fell in love. I am very blessed, and I am so happy that I made that decision," he shared.

Munawar and Mehzabeen are raising two children together, his son and her daughter from her previous marriage. What he admires most about his wife, he explained, is her practical way of handling parenthood. “I have learnt the art of valuing people from her. She knows how to value people. The way she takes care of kids… It's not like she showers them with unlimited love, no, she is very practical, and some things are not okay for a child," he said.

He also recalled a recent disagreement that showed him how thoughtful she is when it comes to parenting. "A few days ago, we argued about something. I was telling her that if the kid is asking for water, don't make him wait like this. She said, Yes, he is provided with water whenever he wants but she said, See, this won't always be the situation. It is important to prepare the kids for whatever might happen. And then I realised, yes, how can I ever forget that?"

Munawar added that these small lessons have shaped the way he sees fatherhood now. "Here, you are thinking that you have to do well and provide for your kid, and they are getting it too, but at the same time, you have to prepare them for the reality that you should know how to get a glass of water for yourself. They shouldn't think that water just appears when you yell for it. So, these little things that you tend to overlook as a father, she can see minutely," he explained.
