Yuvika Chaudhary Reveals Why She Couldn't Conceive Naturally With Prince Narula: "We Tried..."

Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary welcomed their first child in 2024, six years after tying the knot in 2018. Recently, Yuvika opened up about their IVF journey, shedding light on the emotional and physical toll it took, and how Prince's unwavering support carried her through.

"We Tried Naturally..."

Yuvika revealed that conceiving naturally had been difficult due to their conflicting schedules. “One of us was always travelling during my ovulation window. Even when we tried naturally, it just never aligned. I sometimes wondered if it was just nazar (the evil eye)," she said with a smile.

"Doctor Scared Me..."

She confessed that she had little knowledge about IVF when she first began considering egg freezing. “I went to a doctor, and she scared me. She told me I couldn't have babies — maybe she saw a business opportunity," Yuvika recalled. The fear led her to panic and urge Prince to plan for a child immediately.

As she began the egg freezing process, Yuvika was confronted with the risks. “They took my signature, saying that after anaesthesia, there's no guarantee I'll wake up fine. I was physically weak at the time, and Prince asked to cancel it. He told me, ‘You're more important to me than having a child.'"

"The Process Involved Numerous Injections..."

Eventually, they consulted a different doctor who restored her confidence. “The second doctor encouraged me to freeze my eggs and try for a baby. I told them — this will be my first and last try. The process involved numerous injections, but I was ready."

Fortunately, the IVF process worked in the very first attempt. Prince, who read the blood test reports, broke the news. “He was crying. I was numb. It was one of the happiest moments of our lives," Yuvika said.

However, the journey wasn't without its challenges. At 41, pregnancy took a toll on Yuvika's mental health. She shared that she battled postpartum depression but credits her family for being her anchor. “My family stood by me like a rock. I'm truly blessed."

Through her story, Yuvika hopes to raise awareness about IVF, break taboos around fertility struggles, and remind others that strength sometimes lies in leaning on your loved ones.
