YouTuber Alleges Being Drugged And Robbed In 2ac Coach; Railways React

A YouTuber, Kanika Devrani, alleged she was drugged and robbed in a 2AC coach of the Brahmaputra Mail during her journey from Delhi to Guwahati. The travel blogger stated the incident occurred when the train halted at New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station (NJP) in West Bengal. She reported that her fellow passengers also became the victims of robbery.

In a video posted on Instagram, Devrani claimed a passenger on the upper berth sprayed something on her. She mentioned having a conversation with the man, who was asking for seat numbers. “I couldn't sense anything," she said.

A video titled “Indian Railway is not safe" shows the woman claiming that an unauthorized person boarded the 2AC coach at New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station and sprayed something, causing her and another passenger to pass out. Upon waking, she discovered her iPhone 15 Pro Max was gone.

"As First-class AC tickets weren't available, I had booked a 2nd AC ticket from New Delhi to Guwahati on the Brahmaputra Mail. I thought that it was all safe. 
The train had halted at New Jalpaiguri station in West Bengal. I was asleep and my phone was put on the charge," she explained. “Someone came to my berth, my phone was under my pillow, and took it. First of all, how can the railway staff let someone in without a ticket? I don't know who the person is."

Using the Find My Device app, Devrani tracked her cell phone's live location to Malda in West Bengal. In a post on social media platform X, she tagged @WBPolice and @malda_police and urged them to take necessary actions.

Kanika accused the police and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of not helping her despite having the phone's live location.

In response to the video, Railway Seva (@RailwaySeva) tweeted, “For necessary action escalated to the concerned official."
