YouTuber Akshay Vashisth Faces Arrest for Spreading Fake 'Haunted Airport' Video

YouTuber Akshay Vashisth Faces Arrest for Spreading Fake 'Haunted Airport' Video

Panaji: Goa Police have arrested Akshay Vashisth, a Delhi resident, for posting a fake video about the Manohar International Airport in Mopa. The video, uploaded on his Facebook channel Real Talk Clips, was titled “Goa ka haunted airport” and contained misleading and false claims.

Video Flagged as Fake

The post was flagged by constable Suraj Shirodkar from the social media monitoring cell. Police said the video carried false, malicious and superstitious allegations that could create fear and alarm among the public.

Police Team Traces Accused to Delhi

After a complaint was registered on September 15 at the Mopa airport police station, a police team used technical surveillance and tracked the accused to Dwarka, Delhi.

Arrest and Further Probe

A team led by PSI Viraj Sawant and constable Ravichandr Bandiwadkar brought Vashisth to Goa, where he was placed under arrest on Wednesday evening. The operation was carried out under the supervision of police inspector Narayan Chimulkar. Officials confirmed that further investigation is ongoing.
