Choreographer and host Farah Khan launched her YouTube channel in April 2024. It featured her along with her cook Dilip. She started visiting influencers, actors, and shared recipes. No one had ever expected this to become that big, and Dilip to become an internet sensation. It was Dilip's simplicity and sense of humor that made him the audience's favorite.

Despite him taking all the limelight, Farah remains unfazed by his popularity, something that people on the internet love about her. Their on-screen banter is something that viewers have come to love about their vlogs. Who Is Farah Khan's Cook Dilip?

Dilip, who is now basking in the success of his YouTube vlogs with Farah Khan, had a rough start. His journey to stardom began the day he decided to leave his native village in Bihar behind and look for job opportunities in the City of Dreams, Mumbai. He not only left his house, but also his family, including his wife and two children, to work in several kitchens across Mumbai.

How Did He Meet Farah Khan?

While he got opportunities, Dilip had to face challenges in the form of long hours and insufficient pay. Despite the drawbacks, he continued to move forward, working tirelessly day in and day out to earn a livelihood for his family. And then one day, Bollywood's renowned choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan noticed him. She took note of his exceptional cooking skills and humble nature. That's when Dilip became her personal cook. He has worked for the filmmaker for over a decade now.

And when Farah brought him in front of the camera, although he struggled a bit in the beginning, he soon became a pro. He not only entertained the viewers with his unfiltered statements and cooking but also managed to become a favorite of many stars. Dilip soon became the “star" of Farah's vlogs, and some celebrities often joke that they watch her show just because of him.

Dilip, who once struggled to earn a decent living, now owns a three-storey house in Bihar, where his entire family resides. It has six bedrooms, a pooja room, and children's rooms.

Farah Khan Got Her Cook Dilip's Kids Into English-Medium Schools:

Besides giving him an exorbitant salary, the amount of which she has never disclosed on camera, Farah also got Dilip's kids into English-medium schools. She even sponsored a culinary course for one of his children, who is training to be a chef. In one of her recent vlogs, she said, “Dilip has fed so many people… now karma is feeding him."
