Payal Rohatgi, Sangram Singh Planning A Baby Via Surrogacy: "We Are Trying..."

Sangram Singh and Payal Rohatgi's three-year-old marriage recently came under scrutiny with reports claiming that they may be headed for a divorce. It all began when she issued a public statement on Instagram, announcing that she had resigned as director of Sangram's charitable trust due to ‘personal reasons. However, he soon clarified that there is no trouble in paradise and expressed that he and Payal will always be together. Now, speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, Sangram reveals that they're planning a baby.

"We Are Planning for Surrogacy..."

For the unversed, Payal had publicly spoken about undergoing unsuccessful IVF treatments before marrying Sangram. She had also mentioned that despite trying to conceive for about five years, she was unable to get pregnant. Talking about parenthood now, Sangram says, “Bachchon ki kami khalta nahi hai. We're planning for surrogacy, but the laws are very different now. A few people in the past had misused surrogacy laws in the country."

"We Keep Arguing Over Small Things..."

He states, “Hum koshish kar rahe hai. But Payal ji and I feel that we're still kids. We keep arguing over small things (laughs). But when it's the right time, we'll also embrace parenthood. It's all up to god." Sangram's also quick to add that he loves kids and loves spending his time training them. “In my village, kids come to me and show me their cartwheel skills. Dekh ke bahot achcha lagta hai. When I train, they come and join me. I treat them with fruits," he shares.

"Parenthood Is Definitely An Integral Part Of Life..."

Sangram wishes to have a home filled with children and their laughter someday. “Parenthood is definitely an integral part of life. I grew up with a lot of siblings and cousins around me. My father has a sister. My grandfather had a second wife, who gave birth to eight sons. We're also three siblings. These days, many people choose to not have too many kids or no kids at all. So many of them don't even want to get married," he remarks.

Last week, the wrestler took to Instagram and wished his wife a happy third wedding anniversary with a picture, adding that this is also their 14th year of being together. The lovebirds had first met on the Delhi-Agra highway when her car broke down and Sangram, who was passing by, stopped to help. Survivor India, a reality show, went on to bring them together as co-contestants and soon their friendship turned into love. So, what has changed in all these years?

“Payal ji bahot ziddi hai. We're both very different people. I feel like I haven't been able to figure her out yet. But she's a perfectionist. People are unpredictable, but when it comes to Payal ji, she's very transparent. If she's angry with you, she'll express it. She isn't someone to go behind people's backs and talk against them or backstab them. Aise insaan achche hote hai. She fights with me, but I also know that her universe begins and ends with me. Toh merese nahi toh kisse karegi?" Sangram concluded.
