Dhanashree Verma On Trolling After Divorce With Yuzvendra Chahal: "It Doesn't Bother Me At All!"

Dhanashree Verma has broken her silence on the trolling and public scrutiny she faced after her divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. She said that public judgment and negativity don't bother her at all. She has ‘guarded herself', choosing to focus entirely on her work. She added that she prefers to ignore the unwarranted opinions.

Dhanashree Verma On Trolling After Divorce:

In an interview with Bombay Times, Dhanashree said, “It doesn't bother me at all! I have surrounded myself with great inner strength, and I am so dedicated that my focus has always been on my work, as I have a lot of responsibilities. I have guarded myself and have built myself so strong that I just focus on my work, which will speak for everything. The negativity and public criticism have never really bothered me since day 1, and it will never bother me ever."

"I Prefer To Ignore The Noise..."

She said that she is instead focusing on her goals. “I prefer to ignore the noise that doesn't contribute to my growth and focus on constructive feedback. I set goals for myself and stay committed to them till I achieve them. When you know your goals, professionally and personally, it is easier to stay away from the distractions," she explained.

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal were granted divorce by the Bandra family court on March 20, just ahead of Chahal's commitment to IPL 2025, which commenced on March 22. Since the cricketer had prior professional commitments, the couple requested and was granted a waiver of the mandatory six-month cooling period, which is usually allotted to encourage reconciliation. As per Bar and Bench, Yuzvendra Chahal agreed to pay Rs 4.75 crore as alimony to Dhanashree Verma.

On the professional front, Dhanashree recently featured in the vibrant dance anthem ‘Ting Ling Sajna' from the film Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi. She stole the show with her sizzling dance moves in the song. The film was released in theatres on May 23, 2025.
