Days after the reality show contestant drew criticism for bringing up menopause and perimenopause while responding to Gauahar's comments on his gameplay in 'Alliance', internet personality Awez Darbar has now weighed in on the issue.

Awez, who is Gauahar Khan's brother-in-law, took to social media to call out Nikhil's statement, questioning the logic behind his remarks and expressing support for Gauahar.

The controversy began shortly after Nikhil Chinapa's eviction from the Kunal Kemmu-hosted reality show 'Alliance'. Addressing Gauahar Khan's criticism of his performance in the game, Nikhil claimed that he had never interacted with her personally and that his impression of her was based on conversations with fellow contestant Zaid Darbar.

During the interaction, Nikhil also brought up menopause and perimenopause while referring to Gauahar, a comment that quickly sparked outrage online.

“Maybe Mini will know more about this because she deals a lot with menopause and perimenopause. So maybe, she may have some insights on why Gauahar said whatever she said," Nikhil had said.

Reacting to the controversy, Awez Darbar shared a video on his Instagram Stories and expressed his disbelief over Nikhil's comments. Referring to Nikhil's long association with reality television, Awez sarcastically remarked, “Maine ek reality show haar kar ainvi hi bura feel kar raha tha. Nikhil Chinapa sir, 19 saal reality show ka shor macha kar ye bol rahe hain."

Awez then directly addressed Nikhil's statement and questioned the reasoning behind it.

“Nikhil sir, kya question pucha hai aur aap kya answer kar rahe ho? Matlab kuch to logic rakho na. Menopause ke baare mein mujhe itna pata toh hai nahi, but aap jaise men ko pause hone ki bahut zarurat hai, itna pata hai. Gauahar ne apni reply se already sabko pause kar diya hai, to I think itna hi bolna chahunga. Beesvein (20th) saal ke liye all the best. Acha karna," he said.

Before Awez reacted, Gauahar Khan had already addressed the issue and strongly condemned Nikhil's comments. The actress criticised his lack of sensitivity toward women's health issues and clarified that she is not going through menopause or perimenopause.

“I feel so sad for them that they don't even know the basics of how sensitive this issue called menopause and perimenopause is and what women go through. And for someone like Nikhil Chinapa to mention that as a comeback to my viewpoints of him as a player… it's shocking. For your information, I've had a baby nine months ago, so clearly I'm not going through menopause or perimenopause. Get your facts right and please be sensitive to women when you're putting them in a category like that. Disgusting," Gauahar said.
