  • Akanksha Chamola counters Orry's fame allegations
  • Actress says popularity cannot be borrowed
  • Akanksha claims audience, not controversy, drives attention

Akanksha Chamola has responded to Orry's recent comments accusing her of using estranged husband Gaurav Khanna's popularity for attention. She firmly denied the allegations and questioned the very idea that someone can benefit solely from another person's fame.

The controversy comes days after Akanksha made headlines at the premiere of 'Lock Upp' Season 2, where she spoke about her strained marriage with Gaurav Khanna and revealed that the couple was heading toward divorce.

Orry's Comment Sparks Debate:

The discussion gained momentum after Orry publicly backed Gaurav Khanna and criticized Akanksha on social media. His remarks came in response to online conversations surrounding Gaurav's personal life and allegations made by others. Commenting on an Instagram post, Orry wrote, “She is just blackening his good name and milking his fame for her own views. No one knows who she is. I didn't even know he was married, and we shared a vanity van for a month in Cape Town during KKK filming. This is completely shameless behaviour, to test and take advantage of a good man.”

His statement quickly went viral, triggering mixed reactions from fans and industry observers.

Akanksha's Strong Response:

Addressing the allegations during an interaction with Telly Masala, Akanksha dismissed the claims and insisted that popularity cannot simply be borrowed from someone else. “How can someone use another person's popularity? No one can do that. So that person needs to get out from that concept first. If someone is giving you attention then there is some credential there which belongs to you too. There are so many celebrities and their wives, so many cases where they are going through a divorce. Even in Bigg Boss, so many family members have come, their babies have come. How many family members are famous?” she said.

Akanksha argued that public attention is ultimately driven by audience interest rather than individual efforts to seek visibility.

"I Am Not Asking For Attention..."

She further clarified that she has never actively sought the spotlight and believes the support and attention she is receiving are coming naturally from viewers. “I am not saying that I am someone out of this world hence the attention, but I know that the attention and popularity I am receiving is because audience mujhe de rahi hai (the audience is giving me that). Main nahi maang rahi hu (I am not asking for it). I am very happy and grateful for that,” she stated.

Akanksha also added that she is not upset by Orry's remarks and respects everyone's right to have an opinion.

Divorce Revelation Continues To Make Headlines:

Akanksha's revelation about her separation from Gaurav Khanna at the premiere of 'Lock Upp' Season 2 has remained a major talking point on social media. While discussions around their relationship continue, the actress has maintained that the attention surrounding her is a result of public interest and not an attempt to capitalize on anyone else's fame.
