Social media star Shamita Shetty has recently opened up about mental health issues she faced after being part of 'Bigg Boss OTT' and how she dealt with them. Shamita Shetty: "I Needed Therapy For a Year..."
Recalling her emotional state after exiting the house, Shamita told Pinkvilla, “But when I came out of Bigg Boss, I needed therapy for a year because I couldn't understand what the hell was going on around me or how to react correctly."
She mentioned that the blurred line between reality and fiction in the show deeply affected her. “My reality and fiction were kind of getting merged, intertwined with each other causing a lot of confusion in my head," she added.

"I Came Out Highly Anxious..."
Shamita went on to describe the heightened anxiety she felt post-show. “Look, I came out highly anxious. I was already suffering from anxiety, so it kind of made it worse for me. I think I also became a little aggressive when I came out, and I think the house did that to me. Because I was constantly fighting."
She recalled the daily confrontations inside the 'Bigg Boss OTT' house, explaining how even trivial arguments took a toll. "Imagine waking up to people screaming at each other for things as silly as toothpaste almost every morning. It's not a great environment. It disturbs you mentally. It disturbs you," Shamita noted.
Her openness about mental health has sparked conversations among fans and industry peers, highlighting the psychological pressures reality shows can place on participants. Shamita's candid confession serves as both a cautionary tale and an important reminder about prioritizing mental well-being.
