Excerpts...

What inspires your content, and how do ideas come about?

If you're asking me who inspires my content, it's you guys and literally everyone around me. I'm always observing people, their mannerisms, the way they talk, their little quirks. Whenever I'm with someone, I try to pick up that one unique thing about them and turn it into a character. That's where all my inspiration comes from.

How do you balance staying authentic while meeting audience expectations?

When it comes to authenticity and audience expectations, honestly, I'm just full of drama, and people love that. But the drama I do is me. I never try to be someone I'm not. I love being real, being myself, and not pretending. I'm someone who loves my identity so much, I'd do anything to protect it. So yes, I'm fully authentic, like the masala packet in your Maggi. Essential, spicy, and all me.

Can you walk me through your creative process for new content?

Okay, this might sound weird, but I get the best creative ideas in the toilet. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. That's my most productive thinking spot. I know it's not glamorous, but this is a real interview, right? So yes, the toilet is my creativity headquarters. I can't help it.

What's a memorable collaboration or project you've worked on?

One of my favorite collab memories has to be with Ayush Mehra. He's so handsome, okay? I met him in Mumbai, and he actually DMed me saying he loved my content and wanted to collaborate. I was like wait, what, me? I honestly felt like such a small creator and there he was, wanting to work with me. It was such a proud moment and I told him that straight up. We even got a little emotional about it. He said, “Bhagya, you're so sweet.” That collab still gives me butterflies.

How do you see your content evolving in the future?

I always love trying something new. So when I was going through a breakup, I started this Instagram series called Moving On with BhagyaBro. And surprisingly, people loved it. That's what I believe. When life gives you lemons, make nimbu soda. That's how my content evolves, by turning life into a storyline.

What's the most challenging part of content creation for you?

The biggest challenge for me, honestly, is having a proper space to shoot. At home in India, my mom and dad are always around. In Melbourne, I live with housemates. So it's hard to create freely, especially because I play so many characters and accents. Sometimes I feel awkward, wondering what they must be thinking. I don't want to disturb anyone, but I also want to be in my zone. I think I've reached a point where I really need my own space, both creatively and personally. That's the struggle right now.

What's one tip for aspiring content creators?

Let's be real. To stand out as a content creator, your content has to be unique. It's all about how you execute, how you present, and how different your ideas are. For me, these three things—uniqueness, execution, and presentation—are what really help you grow and evolve in this space. That's what makes you, you.

How do you handle online criticism and negative feedback?

Online criticism? Oh, I've had my fair share. People have said things like “you look like a pig,” “you're overweight,” or “stop overacting.” I've heard it all. But if I had let that get to me, I wouldn't be where I am today. I wouldn't have studied abroad. I wouldn't be making money through content. But I stuck with it, and now people tell me my content makes them laugh or even helps them heal—and that means everything to me. I love myself so much now that hate doesn't even reach me. You have to love yourself so much that the hate bounces off. Honestly, just kick that negativity and keep running.
