Home-cooked food is everyone's favorite. Wherever we go around the globe we always miss our mother's recipes and food. Aruna Vijay, the popular food influencer has shared a solution to this with her instant dal premix. This premix is a savior for students living in a hostel or moving abroad.

Instant Dal Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Toor dal - 1/2 cup
  • Moong dal - 1/2 cup
  • Masoor dal - 1/4 cup

Masala:

  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Dried red chilli - 4-5
  • Curry leaves - Handful
  • Black pepper - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp

Tadka:

  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Hing - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - a handful
  • Chopped Green chilli - 2
  • Chopped coriander - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 2 tsp

Process:

  • Take a cloth clean all the dals properly
  • Then take a pan add in oil, jeera, coriander seeds, black pepper, and dried red chilli, and roast it well
  • Then add in the dal and roast them well along with the spices
  • Once done let it come to room temperature and grind it into a smooth powder
  • Then take a pan and add in ghee, mustard seeds, jeera, hing, curry leaves, chillies , coriander, haldi , salt, and prepared dal powder, mix them well once cooled down store in an airtight container

For Instant Dal Mix:

  • Dal premix - 1/4 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup

In the travel cooker add in the dal premix along with water and let it come to a boil and it's ready. Serve it hot with rice and enjoy!
