Who doesn't love digging into a hot, crunchy plate of Aloo Tikki Chaat on a cool evening? With its multiple layers of flavor and that unbeatable crunch, this North Indian street food favorite is the sort of snack that vanishes as soon as it touches the plate.

Food blogger Himanshu Nandwani shares a simple and delicious recipe that recreates the authentic magic of Delhi's street-side chaat at home — no fancy ingredients, just bold flavor!

How to Make Aloo Tikki Chaat

First Things First – Make the Crispy Tikkis

Start by mixing 2 boiled and grated potatoes with ¼ cup corn flour, ½ cup rice flour, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp amchur (dry mango powder), salt, and black salt. Mix and knead this into a smooth dough.

Form the ingredients into round tikkis. Fry them in hot ghee till golden brown, then flatten and fry again for an additional crunch, just like roadside vendors!

Time to Build Your Chaat Plate

Place the hot tikkis on a plate. Add a generous spoonful of yogurt, followed by green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney. Sprinkle some chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and black salt for flavor.

Now for the finishing touches: top with pomegranate seeds, fine sev, and fresh coriander.

Enjoy the Crunch – Straight From Delhi's Streets!

And with that, your Aloo Tikki Chaat is ready! Crispy, spicy, sweet, and tangy—everything you love about street cuisine, cooked at home. Serve hot and eat before it's all gone. Total street food magic!
