If you are looking for a fun, budget trip near India, Cambodia is a great option! This is only 5 hours of direct flight from Delhi with Air Cambodia, and the return price is just Rs. 27,000. The visa is also a breeze – $30 for an e-visa or visa on arrival. Good food, smiling people, and great destinations make it one of the favorite destinations for a quick getaway.

6-Day Cambodia Itinerary for a Fun, Easy Getaway

Day 1 – Explore Phnom Penh

Fly directly from Delhi to Phnom Penh in just 5 hours with Air Cambodia. After landing, check out the beautiful Sokha hotel. Go to the beautiful royal palace, take a ride around the city, and enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong River with a cold local beer.

Day 2 – Road Trip to Siem Reap

After breakfast, start 6-hour drive at Siem Reap. Wait in the famous insect market on the way - I tried silkworms, grasshoppers and even a black spider! Once in Siem Reap, ride a sunset boat to the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake. End the night with dinner and a lovely Apsara dance show.

Day 3 – Sunrise at Angkor Wat

Wake up early to see the magical sunrise over Angkor Wat, the world's largest Hindu temple. Then explore Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, and Ta Prohm (the famous Tomb Raider temple). The trees growing over the ruins are just unreal!

Day 4 – Waterfalls and Vespa Food Tour

Visit Phnom Kulen National Park with waterfalls, jungle trails, and a giant reclining Buddha. Don't miss the thousand submerged Shiv Lings! In the evening, go on a Vespa food and cocktail tour with the sweet local guide, Kim. It's a fun way to see Siem Reap's nightlife!

Day 5 – Bamboo Train and Bats in Battambang

Take a road trip to Battambang and ride the Bamboo Train—just a wooden board with wheels zooming through beautiful countryside! Later, watch 3 million bats fly out of a cave at sunset. It's wild!

Day 6 – Learn Cambodia's History

Back in Phnom Penh, visit the Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields. It's a hard but important part of Cambodia's history. After that, take your flight back home with your heart full of memories.
